Cannot display desktop gadgets

Hi friends,

I am facing an issue with my PC.I have recently Install Windows Vista as my Operating System.Whenever i try to open desktop gadgets.it's not getting opened up.

Can anyone tell me what's the issue with my PC.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz
G31 Asrock Motherboard with Intel chipset
2gb RAM
256 Nvidia Graphic Card
200gb HDD

Sure i will help you out with this issue it might happened that some of the desktop files would have being corrupted try to re-install the software.

Thanks for your reply i try to do the above mentioned things but it's not working any other solution to fix this issue.

I was also facing such kind of issue few days ago i try to follow the below steps an it worked out for me.Hope it will work for you too.

1. Click on Start.
2. Type regedit in Run Option.
3. Now registry window would get open and navigate to the following location
   
   
   
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Sidebar\Settings
   
   
   
4. Now right-click in the right pane and select on New and slect DWORD, name it as AllowElevatedProcess and Modify its value to 1
   
5. Goto Start - - > Settings - - > Control Panel - -> All Control Panel Items > Desktop Gadgets and update as required.
