ERROR "cannot open INSTALL.LOG"

hi,
i recentely bought a new Inspiron 13.with Intel Core 2 Duo processors,Genuine Windows Vista operating system.it works fine but when i try to remove software or any program from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel ,I would recieve an error message:Cannot open INSTALL.log and it there for cannot remove program .I had to manually delete the application.
Can anyone help!!!

This problem occur if the instalaltion/uninstallation log file is missing, so the program's uninstaller does not know how to remove that particular program. Best way to solve this is to reinstall the program in the same location (so that the log file is created), and then use the Add/Remove Programs to uninstall it.

if you are still getting the same “cannot open install log file” error message even after reinstalling the software, then you might have to start looking for other available solutions. I would recommend that you check the software’s compatibility with your operating system and other installed programs. You might also have to scan your computer for malicious software codes such as viruses and worms, some of which can easily corrupt critical uninstallation files.

just type in "regedit" in run and press ok then go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" and find gamespy arcade and delete it.
