Hey I want to know if there is anyone who know a good program to design mc preferably a free program. Has been tried with Google SketchUp but it should be more detailed. I need a really good program.

You con try Blender. I did not have any experience with it, but it would be perfect. Another good programs would be Autodesk 3Ds Max or Autodesk Inventor, but it will of course also depends on what you need your "designs" for.

If you are quite silly with 3d modeling, then there is really a great many programs out there that can be used.
At that time I was rooted in 3d modeling / animation - I used light wave.

But after a while I walked over to "rhinocerous 3d" ... which is a kickass modeling program.

Light wave includes the latest rendering methods for now if you want to play around with refractions / translucency (it does alias/softimage/3dsmax etc.. too). But rhino3d do not have a super-advanced render built - there you can have some tools as "renderman"
