The famous Strand Outlook leads users to view successively in one window their emails, their calendars, contacts, tasks and notes. In practice, we sometimes need to write an email while viewing or adjust its timetable of tasks according to notes taken at meetings. Situations that Microsoft has not forgotten to take into account. Simply tell Outlook to open the different elements in different windows:

  • Start Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

  • In the left pane, click Mail to view your emails.

  • Now click the right button on the Calendar tab (in the left pane). A menu will appear.

  • Select Open in a new window.

Note that this trick can be used simultaneously to display 2 different views of the timetable (in 2 different windows so): the detailed view of the day and complete view of the week.
