Text problem

In adobe photoshop only I cannot change the text color to a different color of my choice & it goes back to grey color instead of any other color which is 30 30 30. It happens on all layers. I have used both the CS2 & CS3 versions but I have the same problem with both of them. Any ideas as to how to change the text?

Can you be more specific as to what is your exact problem? Are you saying that the text you had wont change colors? If you can post a pic then it would be great.

I think that the file is set to greyscale instead of RGB or CMYK? If you set it then you would not make it only go to a specific numeric grey color.
