How to replace shell32.dll

I have problem replacing shell32.dll by following the guide on dll hacking. After a reboot of my pc both the modified icons & original icon group are showing simultaneously & also with the same folder both icons are present? I am at a loss & i dont now what to do, please help.

Flush the icon cache by getting tweakui, that should do it

Thanks but both icons are still present using the rebuild icons command of TweakUi after restarting the computer. Also deleted iconcache file in documents & settings manually & restarted with no go, help

You have to use a registry setting to do it.

You could redo the shell32 replacement. In other words just replace the shell32.dll again and see if it clears up.

Cant you just redo with replacing the shell32. It will get cleared when you will replace the shell32.dll again.

Thanks, i replaced both shell32.dll's from system32 & dllcache again & everything worked fine. Thanks again for all the help.
