Does all keygen are infected with virus

I just want to know that does all keygens are infected with virus. My friend gave me his external hard drive. There are around 200 software inside it. Some of them are with keygens. When I connected that to my system there were around 90 virus detected and all were related to those keygens. It is sad to find that I cannot use any of it.

Yes. Keygens are like fake key generators. It is same like stealing a software and they are distributed with the motive of spreading virus infection. I has seen people blindly distributing the same among web and they never thing of the consequences. If your antivirus has detected them as threat then do not run them. Because it would affect your system also.

Those are not safe at all. They are distributed with malicious code and the user is never aware what goes inside it. If your using them you are simply playing with intellectual property rights. Officially no one is authorized to use free edition of software that are commercially sold. I am sure this is not complicated to understand.
