QTFiles in Norton Antivirus directory on Mac

The Norton running on Mac showing me that there is Trojan.Gen inside the "/Library/Application Support/Symantec/AntiVirus/" directory. It is denoting this file as QTFiles. Annoying thing is, antivirus keep quarantining these files every 5 minutes. Even after this, files keep appearing again and again. Currently I am using Norton Internet Security 5 (12.1 54) for Mac. Does anyone recognize these files?

I think that you can manually delete those files if they are so much annoying. Other than quarantining it, it would be help if you delete them once. I think that those files might have created due to the migration of old to new quarantine formats but I can’t tell why they are repeatedly appearing in your computer. Anyway I am looking for a precise reason for this.

If you are suffering much from this issue then do the following:

• Open the Terminal Window (from /Applications/Utilities/Terminal)
• Type this command: sudo rm /usr/bin/MigrateQTF
• It may ask for Admin password. Enter and Hit Return.
• Also don’t forget to remove any additional copies from Quarantine.
