What is pup.funwebproducts

I have installed windows XP operating system in my system and thing were working fine but today when I was scanning my system i came across ” pup.funwebproducts”. I need to know what pup.funwebproducts error is. I have searched it regrading it on web and have found that PUP stands for Potentially unwanted Program but I dont know what pup.funwebproducts is. Is there anyone who has any idea about it??

As far as i am ware pup.funwebproducts is a virus, Since it has got detected by your antivirus i will suggest you to remove it.

I just wanted to add that pup.funwebproducts infected below registry key as well, So after your antivirus removes it make sure that you are deleting pup.funwebproducts key from your system as well. In order to do that go to start, click on run, type: regedit and click on ok. Once you get registry editor opened locate and delete below key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FunWebProducts

You can also try removing Fun Web Products from control panel, you should manually check out for files related to funwebproducts and delete them as well. Just make sure that you are rebooting your system after uninstalling and deleting files related to funwebproducts .

Rather than deleting the key manually i will suggest you to use a registry cleaner software like ccleaner. There are lots of registry cleaner available but i prefer ccleaner, it can help you in deleting all unwanted registry entries in few minutes.
