    Antec 750W enough for 2 x Radeon R9 290

I am using a Antec TruePower 750 watt power supply and am also using a Radeon R9 290 graphics card without any issues. I am now looking to purchase another R9 290 graphics card to run along with the first card in crossfire. I was thinking whether the Antec power supply that I have will be able to handle 2 x Radeon R9 290 video card or not? If it wont be able to handle then what other PSU should I buy to run both the cards in my machine? Any help would be appreciated.

I have read that a single Radeon R9 290 video card requires 300 Watt at full load, so if you will put two similar graphics card in crossfire then it will surely consume more wattage. So, it will be better to upgrade to a good power supply first rather than expecting it to run on Antec 750 watt PSU. I would recommend you to check some good EVGA 900 Watt power supply atleast from different online ecommerce sites.

As far as I know you will require atleast a capacity of 1000W Power Supply and nonetheless. Even a good 850W Power Supply unit will be able to handle 2 x Radeon R9 290 video card but if there is overclocking done for both CPU and GPUs then it wont be good. You should also go for a tier 1 or tier 2 PSU unit. The Antec 750W seems to be somewhat low regardless of any overclocking done or not.

If you are not overclocking then you will require atleast a 850W PSU with +12V rating for 2 x R9 290 graphics card but if you are overclocking the CPU then it will consume more power and thus the PSU requirement will increase to 950W atleast. So, you see, the Antec TruePower 750W wont be enough to run these 2 graphics card. I would recommend you to go with EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 80 PLUS GOLD Certified 1000W PSU that comes with 6 x 6+2 Pin PCI-E that can support more than 2 graphics card.
