    Antec 550w for GTX 770

I am looking to buy a new video card of GTX 770 2GB and therefore I wanted to know whether the Antec 550Watts power supply would be enough for it. I will be running a i7 core processor on a Z77 motherboard either from gigabyte or Asus and also 4gb of RAM should be enough for this build I guess. I will be using this system usually for gaming at hd video resolution. Does anyone know whether the PSU will be good or should I choose something else? Thank you

It was metioned that if you want to run a Single Gtx 770 video card then a minimum of a 600 watt power supply is required. Note that the PSU will also need to have a +12 Volt continuous current rating of 42 amps or higher. This psu should also have a 6-pin PCI Express power connectors or you can buy a seperate cable also. If you are thinking about overclocking then some additional increase in the current ratings will be needed.

On this official link of Nvidia website, it has been mentioned that the minimum power required for this graphics card is 230 watts the recommended system power is 600watts. So I think that you will be fine with the Antec 550W PSU thats got a 12v rails and two 6-pin/8-pin power connectors which is required for this GTX 770 video card.

Yes, the Antec VP550P 550W Power Supply comes with dual +12v rails that ensures good system stability. This PSU is also very well made and it has a large quiet cooling fan and the psu fits in most of the system. There are ample of connectors for the hardware and it is a very reliable PSU. You will not get a good value for money product like this psu.

If you need a budget psu but with good features then checkout Antec NeoEco 620C. It is a 620W psu with multi-gpu support. When you are buying a psu it is recommended that checkout the connectors also. In future if you plan to add more graphic card then any budget model can fell short. Antec VP550P is not bad, but going for higher is always good. There is only Rs.800 price difference between both.
