Antec 620W PSU enough to power HD 7950

I am trying to build a new gaming computer that will support high end games on ultra settings. I currently have a 9800 GTX video card with 500W power supply which is not quite decent for gaming. I will be getting a Radeon HD 7950 graphics card soon but for this I realized that I will require a good power supply. So, I am now looking to buy the Antec Neo Eco 620W which will be enough for the graphics card I guess. If it is not, then can anyone suggest me some better PSU for my gaming needs? Thanks.

I dont see there are any problems with the Antec Neo Eco 620w power supply for running the Radeon HD 7950 video card. This power supply is very good and gives enough power to rest of the hardware. But what CPU do you have installed in the machine? If the CPU is low end then the graphics card will not give good performance and it will bottleneck.

Yes, if you have a low computer system and you are not going to overclock it, then you will get your video card bottleneck. For a HD 7950 graphics card the minimum power supply will be not more than a ANTEC NEO 520W with a 40A on a +12v rail. So, a Antec Neo Eco 620w psu is more than sufficient for the power requirements that you are looking for.

If you have some intel icore processors then you will not have to worry about the bottleneck and the Antec 620W PSU will also help in proper power management. I have been using a similar kind of setup but with different power supply CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650W. This is also similar to the Antec power supply with a little bit of price difference of $100.
