Antec EarthWatts EA 380D Green 380W for HD 7770

I wanted to know whether Antec EarthWatts EA 380D Green 380W Power Supply would be sufficient for HD 7770 video card? I am going to build a machine with 8gb RAM, core i3 processor on a ASUS P8Z68 motherboard. Also, how long can I expect this Power Supply to work normally properly? Incase you have any other suggestions on a good PSU then let me know about it as well. Thanks

There is no doubt that Antec EarthWatts EA 380D Green 380W is a fine power supply but I would suggest you to get atleast a 500W power supply for that video card which will be good. Since you have also made a moderate kind of build with the i3 processor, 500W power supply would be able to handle your build properly and you wont have any trouble for years. I would also like to recommend you to get Seasonic PSU's which are very durable.

Yes, you can get a Seasonic S12II-520W PSU which is a very good product, quiet and optimum for installation of a PC dedicated to gaming. It has also got enough connectors too give power to GPUs. I am running the below setup with this power supply from last year and havent faced any problems yet:

    - Antec 900 case with 4 fans (one 200mm)
    - Intel core i7 3770
    - Gigabyte GA-B75-D3V
    - Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon HD7870
    - 8GB Ram Corsair value select
    - 2 hard drives of 1TB each (WD Caviar Black and Samsung F3)

Instead of getting a 500W PSU, you can even get a CORSAIR CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE which is a certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply. It will be able to power your computer easily with the PCIe graphics card that you have. This PSU is also very quiet and can be easily installed and since it is a modular power supply, it keeps the messy wiring to a minimum.
