How to purge old computers in my AD ?

There are too many old computers in my Active Directory and I want to know a way to delete a computer that really no longer exists in it. Can anyone give me a workaround for this issue? Also, I want to know about the best way to delete the old wins record? Thanks for any help.

You can try to use the OLDCMP from joeware website and it will help you with your computer accounts for sure.

We also use oldcmp and then move the computers to a boneyard OU and then manually scan for any possible exceptions. Incase they look fine then we will purge them in one swoop.

You could try this Lepide Active Directory Cleaner tool that helps to find old or inactive computer accounts from AD environment and enables to generate the comprehensive report which are based on inactive or old computer accouts.
