Connecting to AD on port 636 on Windows Server 2003

I am not able to connect to AD on Port 636. I am using LDP.exe here. I am having a Windows Server 2003. Even after trying for several hours still I a not able to connect to Active Directory. While I can simply work locally. The connection is simple here. I had did the setup before also on a test system that worked really well. I think the issue lies with security services which failed to install properly. Does adding them back again will help.

The port 636 users secure socket layer. And for using the same you will need to implement pki infrastructure. You will have to install enterprise ca on you system so that it can provide security certificate on the ssl network. You can find relative knowledge base article on the same on official site of microsoft.
