2008 member server on 2000 domain

I need some help here to transfer a Windows 2008 Member to Windows 2000 Domain. I am not able to find any working solution of the same. There is a setup of users which are created in Windows 2008 Server. I want to transfer them to the 2000 Domain with all the permission and other settings. How to do that.

I found two links based on your issue. You want to transfer a member with active roles to Windows Server 2000 from 2008. I think that would be a bit complicated. Because if you would try to do that from the old edition to new then there are chances of getting appropriate result. You can still try to follow the information mentioned in below link and check out what output it is going to give you.

I will not recommend you to go with some kind of automated process. It is better if you try to do all those stuff manually. It is simply going to help you much. Later on you can run a forest upgrade and check back whether settings are properly applied on both the places.
