Thread: Mapping the "My Documents" folder to a network drive?

    I want to have the "My Documents" folder on the user's computer to the point o their personal folder on the network. Can anyone tell me how this can be done using a GP? Thanks for any information in advance.

    The things that are telling me is called Folder redirection and should be done via GPO. It is one caveat in the implementation. You need to ensure that you redirect the My Documents to a location other than in a roaming profile. In some cases, you can create a loop where the redirection and offline files to a roaming profile and keep overwriting each other so that document can never be deleted.
