    RoboCopy - Error 87 (0x00000057) Time-Stamping Destination File

I am using Robocopy to copy a 100GB folder from Drive C: to a USB drive E:, but is it giving me some error that states "Error 87 (0x00000057) Time-Stamping Destination File... The parameter is incorrect." Can anyone please help me out with this problem. Thanks.

    Probably simple

Probably your USBdevice is formatted as FAT32, which doesn't allow files larger dan 32 Gb. Format it as NTFS and your problem is solved.

Did you try to use /COPY:DT to only copy data and timestamp info and not file attributes? I think that it will better if you use the /FFT switch also. I was facing this problem long back from a Windows Server 2008 to a Windows Server 2003 domain controller via an RDP client network share. After that I used the older version of robocopy from the Windows Server 2003 Resource kit and it worked for me.

If the above doesnt work then you can also try to copy over first in the restartable mode /Z and then try to use the backup mode if that failes /B. So finally you need to add the parameter /ZB and report us back whatever happens. I think that it will solve the problem for you but there is no guarantee. I also wanted you to make sure that you have all the permissions and everything good.
