GPO to restrict Authentication to NTLMv2

I had recent done some changes in GP. So that I can use NTLM v2 on the same. But somehow the authentication to NTLM is restricted here. I had also recently upgraded to NT. In GPMC under default domain I can see options to modify the settings. I went into Security Option which is mentioned under Local Policies to change the settings. But somehow it is not responding. I got some user complain that system is locked.

Go and check the settings for default domain controller. I am sure you will be able to find out what you are looking for. There is a link below that will give you information on the issue that you are facing.

Client, service, and program issues can occur if you change security settings and user rights assignments

Re: GPO to restrict Authentication to NTLMv2

    Hi

    Following is my requirement.

I want to push NTLM v1 authentication setting located under open IE
please navigate to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > under "User Authentication" select Automatic logon with current user name and password

I want to push this settings via group policy to all the users in the domain.

Please let me know the steps to configure this.

    Thank You
