Cannot join domain...very odd

I need some help with Domain configuration. I am unable to jion the same. i am trying to connect two Windows XP workstation on the same but somehow it looks the connectivity fails here. I cannot find any way of working on the same. I even tested the same by manual configuration. But still it is not working. I am not able of ind anything inside event reviewer also. Can anyone help me on this issue.

I think there is some problem with dns configuration. Due to which you are facing the problem. If you are adding all the entries manually then this should work well. You must try event log once again. There must be information in it. Try to check in the same. I am sure you will find output errors.

Run DCDiag and NetDiag and then check what output you are getting. You have to post the information that you are getting through the command here On that basis I can help you fixing the issue. It is a dns problem only. You workstations are unable to communicate with the dns due to which you are getting that error. It not possible that your event log is empty.

What is the problem that you are facing? Can you specify in details what type of domain controller are you using, which operating system are you using? Do you get any error message? You can start by reading from here on how to join a domain - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295017
