DC's not Replicating

Hi

I have 3 Dc's on my site and at the moment i cannot get the one server(Gamma) to replcate to the PDC (Beta) When i try to force the replciation i get the following error

the following error occurred during the attempt to synchronize naming context Griffin.local from Domain Controller BETA to Domain Controller GAMMA

Error 0X800721a6

The operation will not continue

I have checked the even log on the PDC (beta) and i had a space issue which has been resolved but the replcaiton is still not occuring.

I can replicate fine from beta to gamma but the changes are not being replicated

What were the times on the domain controllers? I had a similar problem on some of my older servers where they lost power and came up in sometime afterwards so AD refused to replicate. It was synching time but now before these errors started to happen. Also, the manual replication was failing similarly like what you are facing now. But I solved it by demoting and then promoting after which it started replicating again.

It seems to me that you are facing this issue which is caused by having domain controllers which were not replicating for more than a tombstone lifetime interval. You can check for information on how to solve this from this link - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc757610.aspx

Even I think that your DC is not able to replicate within the tombstone lifetime, however, you should have event log errors telling you that, have you checked the same?
