I recently build a new Windows 2003 SP2 DC and after restart I am getting hte below error message. I have also seen this error message on another DC in my forest again after a restart. It will not appear any other time. Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue? Thanks

To verify that the local Security Accounts Manager (SAM) database is available to authentication requests from the Key Distribution Center (KDC), ensure that a Kerberos ticket was received from the KDC and cached on the local computer. You can view cached Kerberos tickets on the local computer by using the Klist command-line tool. More information here - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc734093.aspx

Re: The Security Account Manager failed a KDC request

You need to attempt to restart the Kerberos client pc to check the result. To get more information you need to refer to the below Microsoft TechNet article to solved the case:

Event ID 7 — Security Accounts Manager Availability
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...(v=WS.10).aspx

If the above doesnt work then check the other article on how to reset the secure channel from this link:

There is also a problem of Low Disk Space if there are any errors caused. There was a guy at our office who complained about not being able to log onto the server. After checking the event logs I noticed that it was filled with these errors. Also after searching a lot for some other failure I also found that the C: Drive in my computer was only having 50mb free storage.
