    Unattended DCPROMO on Server Core

Is there anyone who can tell me how to create generic unattended answer file for a DCPromo on server core? For instance, I was thinking that the installDNS option is? I am using a Server 2003 domain with existing DNS servers. Everything I have found so far says to have installDNS = Yes. Why does it needs to be yes? Any ideas?

Check the article on "How to use unattended mode to install and remove Active Directory Domain Services on Windows Server 2008-based domain controllers" from this link - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947034

You can try to create an answer file yourself or perform a DCPROMO on a Full Server DC with all the options that you need. At the end, instead of really promoting, export the configuration to an answer file. After that use that answer or transform the options to arguments for DCPROMO.
