how to delete old profile folders

I need some help here to get rid of old user profiles from server. There many be around 10 to 20 user profiles which are old and no longer used. There were folders which were created with the name of the user and now it is a necessity to delete it completely. But I am not having permission for doing the same. I tried to work with the folder ownership but still nothing worked. Can anyone help me here to get rid of this old profiles.

Here is a helpful link that can help you to configure the permission thing through a command line utility. In the link below you can find a solution to use command line mode to configure the subdirectory permission. You will need to access the root folder. If you got permission to access or modify that then you can simply configure the internal folders also.

Re: how to delete old profile folders

You have to modify the read change permission and if you are not the admin of your network then you cannot do the same. This would be a complicated for you to do through a limited account. Try to modify the read/change permission first. Contact the network admin for the same and see how he can help you in fixing the problem. There can be errors if you try some third party tools or other stuff.
