HELP bad directsound driver

HELP bad directsound driver

my pc at work has never had speakers.. so I am trying a pair. get on my aol
account to use AOL RADIO and I keep getting BAD DIRECTSOUND DRIVER.

a. what does that mean?
b. what do I do?

dear goodness. when I put in a cd, there is no sound.

c. how do I find out if my pc has sound?

PLEASE HELP!

Kris, try downloading and installing the latest version of DirectX from
Microsoft.
