Trouble loading Broadcom 570x Gigabit NIC driver b57win32.inf

I am having trouble getting WIN XP SP2 to accept the Broadcom 570x Gigabit
NIC driver, b57win32.inf, that I need to install on my Dell Inspiron 600m.
When I force the driver update to install the driver that I say where to
look, WinXP reports:
"The specfied location does not contain any information about your HW."
I am pointing to the correct folder that contains the .inf, .cat, and .sys
files and specifically tell it the .inf is b57win32.inf, but WinXP does not
seem to be happy with this. I am certain this is the correct driver as I
downloaded the whole driver package from the Dell website. I also went to
the Broadcom site and dowloaded driver for the device (same .inf, .cat, and
..sys as on the dell site) and had the same issue.

Any ideas?
