Flash Memory in Laptops won't read 4GB SD card...

I have a Gateway MX6438 AMD Turion 64 notebook which is running on Windows XP with Service Pack 2. I have also got a RiData 4GB X150 SD card that is formatted to Fat32 with files stored on it by Emachines T6520 desktop. Now the problem is that the gateway laptop is not acknowledging the RiData card when I plugging it in. So therefore I updated the Texas Instruments PCIxx21 hardware driver and still the problem persist. So is there any solution to fix this problem?

I think that you will need to install drivers from RiData website to access the whole 4gb file. It might be also possible that the SD reader hardware could have a limit for the size on it? There are some older hardware that might have some difficulties reading the larger size SD cards. I dont know whether this problem can be fixed with a firmware flash update or not.
