Overheating Toshiba Satellite A105 Laptop

My Toshiba Satellite A105 Laptop has started getting overheated suddenly. It was working fine since four months, i don't know what went wrong with it. Some times it shut down on itself after getting overheated. I have just spent 4 months with it and i want to know if there is anything that i can try out my self rather than taking it to the service center and getting it repaired or replaced??

re: Overheating Toshiba Satellite A105 Laptop

You can try applying thermal paste to your processor, i guess its thermal paste might have got dried. There are possibilities that its main cooling fan might not be able to provide efficient cooling because of dust, so you can try cleaning it. In both cases you will have to open your laptop. If it has a sticker on the opening than breaking it might void the warranty. Since your laptop is under warranty i will suggest you to get it checked form the nearest service center.
