Win XP SP3 no boot - black screen only...

If I am turning on my Windows XP machine then I am getting a black screen with blinking cursor after the post and nothing else? Can anyone tell me how do I solve this issue? Thanks

It seems that there is some problems with the hard drive. You can try using BootIt NG program to work with the drive partitions and see if that works. You should download its latest version and install the program on a floppy disk and then boot the computer up, using the floppy disk. After that do not install, but go into maintenance mode and work with all partitions. It will be able to detect errors.
