Adjusting the Clock in Windows XP to display full Time and Date

I have a Windows XP Pro desktop with Service Pack 2 installed. As by default it only shows the time in System Tray. I want to make it display both time and date. I know that is possible as I have seen it on my fiends desktop. As of now I am suing Windows Classic theme with Red White and Blue color. As of now my system displays the time as follows:

"02:04" . It is set in 254 hours format. I want to make it display as:

"02:04
Tuesday
July 8, 2008"

Somebody please let me know how to do the same.

Hello Gramm, just try out the following steps to get completed date and time on XP:

1. Right click the Taskbar.
2. Click to Unlock the Taskbar.
3. Click and hold your mouse pointer over the top edge of the taskbar.
4. Drag up to Increase the height of the taskbar.
5. Repeat steps #1 & #2, but this time Lock the taskbar.

Thank you very much for the help buddy. I tried that but it only shows the the day of the week in addition to time.

I want the complete Date below the time in 24 hours format. Please help.

First of all unlock your taskbar and expand it further. If you want to see time, day, and date, and you have the taskbar on the bottom of the screen, you must expand it to show 3 lines. If you have the taskbar on the side of the screen, the taskbar must be extended to show the width of the date (X/XX/XXXX).

That means I lose desktop area considerably. TClockX will display all and more
within the single width of the taskbar. In fact it can show you the free memory
available too at all times in the tray.
