shell32dll,control_Rundll.hotplug dll

I have acronis 11 installed on My xp home pc running service pack 3 all
patches and updates, On removing any usb device after clicking on safely
remove an error appears big red x staing an exception ocurred shell 32dll
control rundll hotplug dll offset 000048be also error report faulting
application rundl32 exe version 5.12600,5512 faulty module unknown version
0000 fault address 0x0000110el pc works fine just cannot get rid of this
error message can anyone help please theres plenty on the net acronis are
aware of the problem but absolutely no help as to when there is a solution I
have rebuilt my pc 6 times from scratch and feel tottally dispondant thats
why i did an image to save me another rebuild!

Can you please get the complete error message from the event viewer?
Run disk clean up and then run this command:
sfc /scannow

Have a look in the Event Viewer and send us the error messages you will see
there in your next post:
Open a Notepad, customize or minimize to the taskbar as you will need it
later for this step to copy the error message on it.
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK] you will get the Event viewer control Panel.
click on each of these:
Application
System
Security
Look in the right Pane/window for error message with red (X) or Yellow
exclamation mark /!\ , double click each one to get more info about the
causer.
On the Event error properties message you will see:
Up Arrow
Down arrow
Two pages
Click on the two pages to copy the error message then bring up the Notepad
you opened earlier and right click on the first line and select Paste from
the list, this will paste the error message on a Notepad.
Please don't duplicate the error message one of each kind will be sufficient.

Please we need just the error messages with Red (X) and don't repeat the
error, just one of each kind and post them back in your next post.

Start -> Run -> [type] mmsys.cpl [OK]

This runs the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties dialog box

Check [ ] Place volume icon in the taskbar

Select OK

... this is a work around that will also bring back the
Safely Remove Hardware icon next to the speaker icon
in the taskbar system tray.
