Keyboard Shortcuts in Win XP.

I like to make keyboard shortcuts to start up most used programs. But after upgrading from Office 2000 to Office 2007, the upgrade routine uninstalled Outlook 2000 prior to installing the 2007 version; the new office suite is also in a different folder. But after re-setting this shortcut to the new Outlook program has no effect and if I try to use it, then it tries to reload the old version as this is no longer there Windows Installer starts to run, trying to reinstall Office and Outlook 2000. Any ideas?

Well, have you tried to restart or logoff or logon? Windows XP enumerates keys from shortcuts in the Start Menus and desktops at logon.

Usually, on XP pro, you can try to change any of the properties of a shortcut and they are applied at the very moment. I also keep a shortcut window open while I am watching the effects of my changes to be sure they are what I expected.
