How to recover files from temp files from CHKDSK

hi,
after the reply on my other post i need to know How to recover files from
temp files created by CHKDSK. I have many but i need to know if i can recover
using them.

It rather depends on what CHKDSK has recovered. If it has recovered an
entire file then it is only necessary to identify the type of file and
rename accordingly. The trick here is identifying the file. Try opening it
in Wordpad (not notepad). There may be clues in the text parts. You can
safely allow wordpad to save the file again as wordpad won't alter it even
if there are unprintable characters.

If it recovers part of a file, life can be more difficult. Obviously text
files can be opened and the text recovered, but little else can.

Still trying to figure out why you said monitors fail in 3 years.
