Serious error, can't access My documents, control panel etc.

Every time when I try to open My documents, or My computer, control
panel, search, or any folder on my desktop, my computer crashes. It
says, on a blue screen(!) something like this:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
    damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you have seen this Stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these
    steps:
Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is
identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the
manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. If you need to
use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer,
press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe
    Mode.

    Technical Information:

    *** STOP: 0x0000007E ( 0xC0000005, 0x804EB951, 0xF62A1BB4, 0xF62A18B0)

    Beginning dump of physical memory.
    Physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for
    further assistance."
    --------------------------
After I press restart, and windows start up, a pop-up window comes up,
it says that my system has been recovered from a serious error.
Do I wish to send this error report to microsoft....
    BCCode : 1000007e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : 804EB951 BCP3 :
    F8965BB4
    BCP4 : F89658B0 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product :
    256_1

    And this in the report...
    C:\DOCUME~1\Josip\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER66a3.dir00\Mini052208-04.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\Josip\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER66a3.dir00\sysdata.xml
    ---------------------------
I've read somewhere online that I can check the error report this way:
right click on My computer> Manage> event viewer > system....
I did this and properties of error were:
    Category :(102)
    Event ID: 1003
    ..... and then, some numbers....
    -----------------------------
I can open only some documents on desktop which aren't in a folder and
some programs on desktop. From start menu I can open ONLY microsoft
word and powerpoint, notepad, Mozilla ...
    -----------------------------
Before this problems started I've been trying to get a webcam to work,
    Logitech, and I've messed with run>msconfig .... but I think I checked
    it alright after...
and since I couldn't fix my webcam drivers I installed a program
called Splitcam, to get my webcam to work.
And I installed a new version of Nero for burning cd-s.

But I uninstalled the webcam and Splitcam with TuneUp Utilities, soon
after I started to experience these 'serious error' pop-ups and blue
    screens....
    I can't uninstall Nero, cause I can't access it on add/remove
    programs...
And TuneUp don't shows it on the list of installed programs!
    ---------------------------------
I've scanned computer with AVG and ZoneAlarm, I got nothing for
    viruses.
    -----------------------------------
I have Windows Xp professional, with service pack 2.
    -------------------------
Please, what can be causing this, and how can I stop it to crash every
time I try to open my folders!

    Thanx in advance!
    Ana

Dump / uninstall Tune Up Utilities. It is the type of software that can
create more problems than it solves!

Background information on Stop Error message:
    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms795746.aspx

    0x0000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
A system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not
catch. There are numerous individual causes for this problem, including
hardware incompatibility, a faulty device driver or system service, or
some software issues. Check Event Viewer (EventVwr.msc) for additional
    information.

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
    drive

    Hope this helps.
