Scanner not working on Lexmark X5495

I dont know why Lexmark X5495 printer's Scanner is not working? I have just setup a new Lexmark X5495 in my pc but it will not work at all. It looks to be fine, but cannot see why the scanner doesnt work? I did try everything but cannot figure out how to get this scanner to work. Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue? Thanks.

Even I had similar issue on my new computer. I inserted the install disc in and then went to the OCR folder and found ABBYY FineReader and reinstalled it. This is where the issue is lying but after I did this, it was alright for scanning.

Even I was facing the same problem and when I asked Lexmark then they told me that it is a microsoft issue. Anyways, I found the abbey and tried to reinstall it, but still it didnt work and gave me some error message related to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE. I will try to uninstall it and try once again.
