    Uninstalling Windows Live Messenger

Can anyone tell me whether it is safe to uninstall Windows Live Messenger, and also Windows Live Sign In Assistant and Windows Live Toolbar? I have actually never used it till now and dont want to have it on my system. Can I uninstall these all from the Control Panel? Thanks

Yes, you can easily remove it, there is nothing severe that you are going to face.

Its pretty simple, all you need to do is go into Add and Remove Programs and then click on Windows Components and then remove it.

Yes thats correct, you will need to go into Windows Components in Add and Remove program to remove it, just remove the shortcut. If you want to complete remove Windows Messenger then you will have to click on Start and then Run adn then type RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove and then click ok.
