Error 1406 when installing an Adobe update - registry problems.

Is there anyone who is having problem when installing the new update for Adobe? When I asked their support people then they told me its a microsoft problem. I cannot edit a key in registry as it keeps asking if I have permission to do so. I am logged on as admin, its a standalone computer at my place and I have installed many programs before this. Below is the error message that I am getting:

Error 1406. Could not write value to key \Software\Classes\TypeLib\{5F226421-415D-408D-9A09-0DCD94E25B48}

Adobe is a good company and they usually make many different products. Can you please tell me what update exactly for what product you are getting the error?

You acn try to use Regedit and grant yourself necessary security permissions on the key and subkeys. After that just verify that inheritance is set from parent to child objects. Incase you are able to find yourself have difficulties with other keys you may want to restore permissions as per instructions here:

yes i also find this problem on install the adobe reader 8.1.2
it appear the same error message
