start button and taskbar disappeared

I just downloaded a msn game and after that the start button and taskbar have disappeared. So I rebooted the computer but got the same problem. Whatever I have found under help starts with clicking on the Start Button only, but it is not displaying for me? What can I do to get it back? Thanks.

Can you try to press the Windows Key or the ctrl+escape key on the keyboard. After that right click on he taskbar and then go to properties to set the taskbar not to hide.

Thanks but I am not able to see the taskbar anywhere for right clicking, any other ideas?

I didnt understand your answer properly but now I have understood it and noticed that hide was not checked. I have got it working now. Thanks.
