Windows Live Messenger freezes . . .

I am having a Windows XP pc. I had installed Windows Live Messenger on the same. The version is 8.5. It was working fine with video calling. But suddenly it started freezing. I cannot sign in at all. At the time of accessing the messenger it take long time to sign in. I had installed the messenger a number of time but still facing trouble with the same. I tried repair also but it did not worked.

Try a older version of messenger. I think this would be resolved if you use an older version. There might be issue with the 8.5 one. I am using messenger just for chatting. Never tested video calling. It is essential that you must simply perform a clean installation and then try back. Your internet connectivity must be good because if it is slow or if it break then you will keep on facing such problem.
