Did you try to search the Acer computer on its manufacturer's website and check if it has the Recovery CD or DVD set for your model pc. Before using the Recovery set, you should wipe out the hard drive and delete all paritions and let the recovery set repartition and reformat the hard drive. |

The client has too much of data that he cannot erase. So that is why I did a repair install. I also talked to Acer and they were of no help as well. |

The Problem Is a software Named "AdminWorks" By "Avocent". It Is a part Of IDU (Intel Desktop Utility). 1. You need to Kill the following processes: http://forums.techarena.in/attachmen...47991080-1.jpg 2. Start->Run : "msconfig" , Remove the following startup programs : http://forums.techarena.in/attachmen...47991080-2.jpg 3. Delete the following Folder (Restart may be required) : "C:\Program Files\Intel\IDU" http://forums.techarena.in/attachmen...47991080-3.jpg 4. Reinstall IDU from intel's Download Site. The Problem Is a software Named "AdminWorks" By "Avocent". It Is a part Of IDU (Intel Desktop Utility). 1. You need to Kill the following processes: awServ.exe iptray.exe 2. Start->Run : "msconfig" , Remove the following startup programs : iptray 3. Delete the following Folder (Restart may be required) : "C:\Program Files\Intel\IDU" 4. Reinstall IDU from intel's Download Site. Guy |
