Service Pack 3 install & disappearing Outlook Express

I am running Windows XP and have installed Service Pack 3 and after that the Outlook Express disappeared. I did a system restore 3 days ago and backed up .dbxfiles so that I have these files atleast, but cant find Outlook Express exe? Does anyone know about a solution after installing SP3 or so? Thanks.

You can try to search for msoe50.inf file that will be located in the C:\Windows\Inf folder and after that right click on it and then click install. After that put in the XP CD when prompted and then browse to the I386 folder and then open it and click ok.

Thank you, but why did the Outlook Express go away in any case? I also get some Outlook Express error in C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll\preview.dlg and I havent installed Service Pack 3 but the Outlook Express gives issues related to the same? Any ideas

I don't know what has happened, or what might have been loaded on the computer, but Outlook Express has totally disappeared. It does not seem to be anywhere. The C drive was totally full, do not know if that has any bearing on the situation.

Is there a way to recover OE and all of our contacts and all of our messages? XP home. By the way Office 2003 seems to have also at least partly disappeared I think.
