Can't login locally after Remote Desktop session

If I remote into my pc at work and disconnect or log off, I cannot log in locally when I come back into the office. I am only getting blank background on all of my monitors. The mouse pointer moves around the screen but when I press ctrl+alt+del to bring up the login screen, then nothing happens. When I go to another computer and try to remove into it, then it works without problem. The only option is to hard restart if I am running a large computation that takes serveral days to complete. Please help.

Your 3 monitors can be a problem. I think that the logon prompt is there but invisible to you. Check what happens when you press Ctrl+Alt+Del and then try to type your username and press the tab key and then type your password and press enter.

Check the below article on RDP 6.0 that has a new switch on the newest RD 6.0 client.
