Windows Messanger automatically starts when I open Outlook Express

Whenever I start Outlook Express, Windows Messenger just pops out from now where. I had removed .net passport from password manager also. But still it keeps on coming up. I am not able to figure out how it just appears when I launch Outlook Express. I tried a number of thing to stop this but it does not work. I had seen that there is some patch for the same.Where can I find that. I cannot get anything through windows update.

There is no patch for the same. I got the same issue. I just removed Windows Messenger. But still if you want to keep it you have to modify the system registry. There is a registry fix available for the same. I am not sure about the actual solution, but it can be risky. Because modifying the system registry can generate more errors if not done properly.
