Hi, I have a Dell XPS 410 desktop running with Windows XP Service Pack 2. I recently bought a Sony HDV video camera which I want to connect with my system. As per Sony XP SP2 should automatically detect this camera but when I connect the same and go into Device Manager I cannot see my camera anywhere. I think it should recognized atleast in DV mode instead of HDV.
When I searched for solution on Web and Microsoft.com ii came to know that I need to go through several files which I don’t think are available on my system. They are as follows:
Sony D-VHS driver
And the following files...
Windows XP 32-bit versions
Date Time Version Size File name
-----------------------------------------------------------
15-Feb-2003 00:22 5.3.16.3 24,576 Xpsp1hfm.exe

Somebody please provide some solution.
