| Reinstalling Flight Simulator X
I bought the deluxe edition, but after installing when i entered the product key, it said that the key was incorrect. so i uninstalled it and returned it in exchange for a new one. When i put in the new disk, the installer screen comes up and says repair or uninstall. whichever one i click a message comes up and says error code 1610, the data for this product is corrupt, contact your support personel. can anyone help me get it back and running. |

Hi Mike, Looks like the uninstallation attempt failed somewhere along the way... Here's how to uninstall a game when using Add-Remove programs fails: Step A: Start your computer in Safe Mode by holding down the F8 key. Step B: Reinstall the game to the same folder it was installed to originally, and then try to uninstall it again using Add-Remove programs. If that fails, delete it's folder and any save games in My Documents.
