Can I delete/create additional partitions on USB sticks?

At the time when I purchased the last usb stick then it was pre-formatted by factory with a single Fat32 partition. Can anyone tell me how to delete this existing partition, if so then how? Also please tell me how to create a new or even multiple new partitions on a single Usb stick? Thanks for any information.

You can do both things, by using the Disk Management, just right click on my computer and the select manage, and then select disk management in the left side. After that use the partition management tool of your OS. You can also use DOS or Linux to partition such drives but Windows 2000+ will see the first partition only.

You can go to computer management by control panel and then administrator tools and then select disk management. After that I think it will work in the same way that it does with normal drives. There is no problem just converting a memory chip to NTFS with the Convert function, used from a DOS window.

I found a way to erase partition from an pendrive

    1. Open a command window as admin (cmd)
    2. type: "diskpart"
    3. type: "select disk 3" (where you replace 3 with the nr of your pendrive)
    4. type: clean

You'll see in diskmgmt that there isn't any partition on the pendrive anymore
