Codec problem (I think) with TotalMedia TV stick

I am getting issue with ArcSoft TotalMedia 3.0 software. I am trying to use FreeCom USB TV here. ArcSoft TotalMedia is unable to detect the same. The software works really well on DVD and MPG files but there is a problem with the same on TV Mobile. It is unable to stream the the video. When I try to use it I am getting a error message The device is not available, or is being used by another application. Please close any applications that may be using the device and try again. While there is no other application using the USB TV.

Does the USB TV is installed properly in your system. I will advice you to update the drivers first and then check back. If that does not work then look for some new codec updates and check back. I am sure this would be more helpful for you. Go in device manager and see whether the hardware is installed properly or not. If there is any warning sign or exclamation mark then the problem can be common.
