There is Windows XP installed with users not having local admin that is being locked down. The laptop users need only that they be able to install their local printer when they are at home. I have this fixed by adding the users to the local power users group, which is proper, and allows them to install a local printer. But that only works fine if you go through the add printers wizard to install it. For many printers the manufacturer gives cd that has to be installed on the machine and also require you to do this before plugging the usb printer into the computer. So, by not having the admin rights, the printer will not install and the user views this as I cant install my printer. So, can anyone tell me how to get this thing to work? Thanks.
