    BSOD - error code 1000000a, parameter1 0000bab4, parameter2 000000

My Windows XP pc freezes a lot. I am getting a constant bluescreen crash on the same. The error is code is 1000000a, parameter1 0000bab4, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 806e4a8e. I am unable to understand there. I was just trying to install some free games and this issue appeared. Can anyone here help me to fix the issue. I am quiet sure that there is no hardware fault. There can be issue due to windows update.

Try to boot your system in safe mode and then see whether it works fine or not. There can be problem with some driver or application which is causing the crash. I had faced the similar issue when I was trying to update my video driver. But the same is resolved when I removed the drivers from safe mode. You can do the same also. Just boot in safe mode and then simply get rid of recently installed updates and then check back.

Go in Event Viewer and see what you can find there. Event Viewer is the only place where you can get a good description of all errors that you are facing on your pc. It is recommended that you simply check that and then find out whether everything is working fine or not. Or else there will be complications. The only option left is to format your pc completely and install windows back from scratch.

It is a stop error that you got on your screen which is due to a bad driver. It is one of the most common problem with windows xp. Some incompatible driver update has caused the failure. There are two ways to fix the issue. First by removing the drivers from control panel and recent updates via safe mode and second by running system restore. Try anyone of them and post if you face further problem.

That is a unstable system file which is causing the crash. The only problem with bluescreen is that it does not gives you information on the file which is causing the problem. So that is why you face the problem. It is recommended that you must check your system stability by running updates or simply scanning your pc with a good antivirus. I am sure that will give you more help in dealing with the issue.
