Help to Remove Internet Speed Monitor Adware

Hi,

I am having some serious problems with my Windows XP computer. Dont know from where i got installed and Adware called "Internet Speed Monitor." This keeps poping up on my screen every minute and is very annoying. Though i kill it every time, it comes again after a minute with some another advertisement. I searched the web for help and found few articles which said i can uninstall it from Control Panel to get rid of the same. Well i did it. Opened Add and Remove and deleted. It asked me to reboot the system. After rebooting i found it again poping up. Unfortunately it is no more in the Add and Remove programs but it comes on my screen every minute.

Somebody suggested me to download / install AdAware but it only helps until i restart the system. After restart again i need to start the process from beginning. I even tried scanning the system with windows own Windows Defender in Safe Mode but not it is not working and won't open up. I Even re-installing Windows defender wont helps.

Now do you guys have any idea what is causing the problem? I mean, even when i disconnect my Internet, the pop up advertisements keeps on appearing. Please provide some help. Many Thanks.

Well i have been through similar problem but not exactly as yours. In my case after lost of research finally Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool helped me to get rid of the problem. Hello Jhal. Here is a fix.Just reboot the system and log into safe mode. Open the registry editor and remove the following entries if present.

You may need to use software like HiJack This to delete some files on reboot.
